Since I currently live in New Jersey, I wanted to pass along information on the Second Annual New Jersey Student Contest. This contest recognizes Operations Research work by a full-time student who is either a New Jersey resident or enrolled in a New Jersey college or university. The purpose of this contest is to help an outstanding student attend the National INFORMS meeting by awarding a first place prize of $600 to be applied to expenses for attending the Annual Meeting in Austin, TX.
Students only need to submit an extended abstract; a paper is not required. Finalists will then present their work at a New Jersey Chapter meeting. Additional information and rules can be found here.
This is a great opportunity for students to gain experience in presenting their work to an audience as well as win funding to attend the INFORMS Annual Meeting.
